Under the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Urban Development Scheme, Gopalganj has initiated multiple projects focusing on road and drainage improvements. Approximately ₹7 crore has been allocated for constructing and renovating over a dozen roads and drains to address waterlogging issues and improve connectivity. Key projects include the expansion of Maharana Pratap Children’s Park, construction of RCC drains in various wards, and the development of roads connecting the city to national highways.

In addition, the municipality plans to tender 71 drainage projects aimed at upgrading approximately 200 deteriorated or unpaved lanes and drains. These projects, estimated at ₹4.5 crore, are expected to alleviate sanitation problems and enhance urban living conditions

Land Allocation for Development Projects

The district administration has accelerated development plans by securing land for 30 major projects. These include the establishment of a dairy processing plant in Kateya, construction of a 33/11 kV power substation in Bairia, and the development of various educational and healthcare facilities. Riverfront Development under Namami Gange

As part of the Namami Gange Program, Gopalganj is developing a riverfront along the Narayani River, also known as the Gandak River. The project, costing ₹6.62 crore, includes the construction of two ghats to promote tourism and environmental conservation. Although the river was designated as National Waterway-37, development activities have been paused due to navigational challenges .​

Guidelines for Peaceful Elections

To ensure fair and peaceful elections, the District Magistrate has issued specific guidelines. These include prohibiting mobile phone usage within 100 meters of polling stations, restricting the presence of candidate offices within 200 meters, and mandating the closure of shops near polling areas. Officials are instructed to arrive at their designated locations on time and maintain transparency and neutrality throughout the electoral process .​

Public Grievance Redressal Camps

The district administration has initiated special camps in Gopalganj, Sidhwalia, and Uchkagaon blocks to address public grievances and ensure the effective implementation of government schemes. These camps involve various departmental officers who receive applications and resolve issues related to education, health, social security, and infrastructure on the spot.
